The Fetch Betch LA

Today is a VERY big day because, as you probably all know, it is the opening ceremonies of the Summer Olympic Games. This is exciting for ONE reason in particular. I'm talking of course about all the upcoming Kate sightings as she is scheduled to attend a crap load of events. Yeah the Olympics are a major international competition in which thousands of athletes participate in a modern revival of the ancient games...yadda, yadda. Now back to Kate...

The super stalker at What Kate Wore(god bless her) has provided the full schedule of events and times the royals are going to attend. Memorized it as if I were going to be in London, NBD (no big deal).

Kate has already  appeared in some pre-games events, including the torch relay. She was a true vision in her electric blue skinnies from Zara (way to keep it real girl) and some affordable Stuart Weitzman wedges... she truly is the people's princess. 

She was also spotted in a Stella McCartney blue dress (way to keep it consistent/McCartney designed the UK Olympic teams outfits) and an AWESOME Cartier necklace that mimics the Olympic rings at the Road to 2012: Aiming High exhibition. 

Jeannie, The Ellen DeGeneres Show's field and red carpet correspondent, knows what it's like to be a betch in the spotlight (how freakin' cool is she?!) The pressure of choosing what to wear when you know MILLIONS of people will be eyeing you can surely throw some betches into a fluster. Jeannie, on the other hand, maintains simply effortless fetch appeal. This girl knows how to work the basics into brilliant and has offered to share some of her thoughts with us!

"I love the basic black dresses and jeans with a big tee. My job has me on the red carpet one day and half way across the country doing a live shot for our show the next." Jeannie tells us, "The most important thing for me is to be stylishly comfortable. Feeling comfortable means feeling confident, and I know that confidence is key to being one fetch betch!" 

Despite the heat wave sweeping the nation, summer leather has emerged as a popular fashion trend. Designers and fashionistas alike have joined together to ignore the rising summer temps & give mother nature a (freshly polished) middle finger. While I agree it doesn't sound appealing to sweat your a$$ off, you have to keep in mind that this leather we're talking about here is a lightweight, tissue-thin hide making it more bearable and appropriate to wear during this scorcher of a summer. Below are some celebs that nailed this summer trend without showing any signs of perspiration.

End note, I think what's most important here is to know what's appropriate for your age. If you're a housewife who's 40+ with kids then you need to lose the belly button ring *cough* OC Housewife Vicki Gunvalson*. Likewise, if you're 24 with a big girl job (or if you're Steven Tyler), drop the feather extensions. If you're just a person with A PULSE then never EVER buy belly chains or chokers, capiche?
